The Colorado River leaves the US into Mexico just South of Yuma Arizona. While it is still 80 miles from the US border to the Sea of Cortez, the Colorado River only travels 8 miles before being 100% diverted into the large irrigation system that feeds over 10,000 acres of farmland.
